The reason behind that is pretty clear: they don’t have any interest in helping other businesses actual sales and marketing goals. Unfortunately, most SEO companies are only concerned with their own bottom line, and not that of their customers. Too many SEO companies charge ridiculously high fees on keywords that don’t need that kind of extensive work. For instance, a company will be charged the same amount for optimization of the keyword “Toledo IT services” as “San Francisco IT services,” when one is obviously more difficult to appear for than the other. But that doesn’t stop the SEO company from taking advantage of the client’s lack of knowledge! They are just interested in making money at the expense of their clients. An SEO firm should know that their customers are also small businesses and would not want to be taken advantage of in that way. SEO companies should charge based on the keyword and the current state of the client’s site. Each package should be customized based on that client’s needs, not a cookie cutter formula for everyone, which leads nowhere but frustration for the client. That is why so many small businesses move from SEO company to SEO company before finding one that they can trust.
